26 May 2013 (Sun) 12:45pm Kidnap SS15/6A Subang Jaya (near Taylors campus)
shared by Daniel who posted a photo to your timeline.
A kidnapping case that almost happened in the busy "student village" township of Subang Jaya.
TODAY
at 12.45pm, one of our female Student was "kidnapped" by an young
Indian man driving a new silver-color Proton Saga at the side lane going
from Jalan SS15/6A to Taylor's Campus.
Luckily she managed to jump out of the kidnapper's car at the traffic lights near Subang Medical Center.
Even though she is badly injured from jumping out of the car, she is grateful that she may have escaped a more horrible fate. We have sent her back to the Hostel, and she feels ok and not traumatic at all.
We thank The Almighty for helping her to overcome this unfortunate event and walk away alive. Amen.
Moral: PLEASE do not walk alone, especially on those quiet roads and quiet weekend days and public holidays.

PJ peeps be alert. Last night at Sec17 around 930-10pm, 2 guys on a motorbike chased my neighbour who was alone on a motorbike. Apparently, they didn't manage to steal much from him, but he was beaten up. And I also read about similar incidents happening in Sec 16 & 6. They could be moving around different neighbourhoods in PJ
Ed's note: Likely to be tied to similar incident just minutes before in Sea Park

Car broken into at Friendship Park

KUCHING: Two friends lost their personal belongings after their car was broken into while they were at Friendship Park in Jalan Song on Wednesday.
The incident was discovered around 7.30pm when the pair returned to their vehicle in the parking lot and realised their bags, which they had kept inside the car, were missing.
Among the items stolen included several smartphones, over RM400 in cash, personal documents and a wristwatch. A police report has been lodged.
Also on Wednesday, a clerk lost her purse when she fell victim to a snatch thief while she was about to enter her car at a commercial centre near Taman BDC.
The 44-year-old woman told police the incident occurred around 12.30pm when a lone motorcyclist snatched her purse as he rode past her from behind and immediately sped off before she had the chance to scream for help. She ended up losing several hundred ringgit in cash along with various personal documents and a mobile phone.
Meanwhile, another snatch theft case on Wednesday saw a woman lose her gold necklace to two men at the Batu Kawah New Township. The 42-year-old victim was waiting inside a photocopy shop when an unknown man ran up to her from behind and grabbed her necklace before dashing out to an accomplice waiting on a motorcycle. She estimated her loss at RM2,000 and lodged a police report later the same afternoon.

my friend was robbed a few days ago in our area. Here's an excerpt from her post:
"I was parked on the side of the road (Jalan 5/17), talking on the phone at 6.15pm or so, when a motorbike with 2 riders came up from behind, its passenger jumped off and smashed the passenger seat's window, grabbed my laptop bag. The rider opened the door on my side of the car, took my handbag, asked for my handphone which I gave, and they sped off."
She wasn't badly injured - cuts on her fingers from the broken shards of glass. Please do be vigilant at all times.

26 May 2013 (Sun) ~9:30pm Assault & Robbery in Sea Park
shared by anonymous
According to the victim (an elderly man), 2 guys on a single motorbike tailed him from the traffic lights at Jln 21/1. While attempting to get away, he crashed into a terrace house on 21/18 damaging the gate.
The robbers assaulted him but was unable to get anything as the homeowners were alerted.
He was probably struck with a blunt object as his head was bleeding profusely. Think they soaked up about half a box of tissues with blood!
Pic shows one of the good samaritan from the house trying to stop the bleeding. This brilliant young lady acted promptly in contacting emergency services then took care of the elderly man until the cops & his family members arrived.

Dear PJ Community,
My wife just encounter 2 indian dress up in green uniform suspected are RELA personnel around SS2 area at 9.50pm today. Asking for ID and driving licenses when she was driving alone. Lucky she just scroll down a little to ask what are her offences. They insisted her to step down but she was reluctant to do that. She insisted to go to the nearest police station. Finally, the 2 indian guy speed off on their motorbike. Just be cautious PJ folks and remember RELA has no rights to demand for ID unless they have Police around. Make sure they show you their ID as well.

When i made police report, police told me this is not the first case. These snatch thieves are smart. They know women hide handbags underneath seats or behind so they are well trained. PLEASE share with your friends, PUT your handbag in the boot and do not let your mobile phone be visible in your car. I read a lot about cases like this but i never expect it will happen to me TODAY.

As he was about to reach the house he saw two men leaving in a silver myvi, with the number plate 1507 (couldn't see the letters). As he got out of his car cos he parks across the street, he noticed the gate was slightly ajar. The main doorknob was dented, the grill lock was jammed up. The sliding door was pried open. The wooden door locks were all damaged. We have made a police report. Basically an attempted break in. Smart thief took about 20 mins to steal the car. They removed his boot key hole and went off.. Took 10 mins to duplicate the key before coming back and stole the car. The alarm went off but they opened the hood and dismantled it in 2 seconds before proceeding to fiddle around for 5 mins and finally driving off in front of us.
Any news please let us know. Thanks.

Beautician in a bind over car ‘sale’
18/5/13
KUALA LUMPUR: A 63-year-old beautician who “sold” her car to a man who claimed to be a used car dealer is now in a bind as the ownership of the car has still not been changed and she is now unable to locate the car.
Worse still, Low Lee Wah has been told that the man, who claimed his name was Augustine, died last year.
The bank is now chasing after her for six months’ unpaid instalment on the car while checks with the authorities showed that it now had 25 unsettled summonses since it was handed over to the man three years ago.
Low said she met Augustine while renewing her road tax at the Road Transport Department here in 2010.
“While chatting, I told him I wanted to sell my car and he offered to help get a buyer. I did not suspect anything and was impressed that he seemed to know the officers in the department very well,” she said.
Low said Augustine paid her RM2,000 before taking possession of the car and promised that the “new buyer” would continue paying off the car loan of RM31,600.
But she said that until today, the ownership of the car had not been changed and she still had its registration card.
She said she looked for the man at the address on his name card but was told by the insurance company that he did not exist.
“When he was alive, Augustine refused to meet me and only picked up my calls occasionally. He kept telling me that he had not found a buyer for my car. And now that he has died, I do not know who to contact and where my car is now,” she said.
She lodged a police report and sought help from MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Seri Michael Chong yesterday.
Chong advised the public to be careful when selling their vehicles.
“If you wish to sell your car, make sure that the buyer has fully settled your loan with the bank before handing over the vehicle,” he said.
Chong also urged the public to help locate Low’s purple Proton Saga, bearing registration plate WSU 2872.

Three guards hacked up like ‘meat’ in brutal Cheras attack
May 19, 2013
KUALA LUMPUR, May 19 ― Two men launched a savage attack upon three security workers at an apartment complex here yesterday, hacking away at their victims with parangs as though they “were meat”, The Star reported on its website today.
The gruesome attack was captured on a closed-circuit television recording, but is unclear if the video was able to identify the assailants as they both wore crash helmets during the event.
According to the newspaper, the attackers were believed to be thieves targeting the residents of the apartment. This was also not the first time the guards were attacked.
“The previous attack was not so serious. They only punched a guard and broke the window,” resident association chairman Bruce Tan was quoted as saying in the report.
“The attack this time was so horrifying. I watched the CCTV recording and saw the guards being chopped like they were meat.”
The attack was confirmed by KL CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ku Chin Wah, who added the victims were in stable condition.
The incident is the latest in a growing trend of violent crimes reported in the country. Last month, 52-year-old Irene Ong was killed after she was stabbed repeatedly during a botched robbery attempt in broad daylight at the idyllic Bukit Gasing hiking trail in Petaling Jaya.
The same month also saw Royal Malaysian Customs deputy director-general II Datuk Shaharuddin Ibrahim, 58, shot dead near a traffic light near the Putrajaya police station.
Putrajaya has sought to address concerns over the crime rate and introduced crime-reduction as a National Key Result Area (NKRA), which the police and the government’s efficiency unit Pemandu said has been successful in reducing crime.
But the ubiquity of crime reports, both in the news and shared in social media, have led to doubts over the veracity of the authorities’ professed drop in crime.
Crime watchdog groug MyWatch also accused the police in February of massaging the crime statistics, claiming cases of snatch theft and robbery without firearms as well as burglaries and house break-ins, were higher than the published crime index from January to October 2011.
The police have denied manipulating national crime figures.

Girl hit by flying object
BALING: A 10-year-old girl received 14 stitches on her face after she was hit by a "flying" object while she was on her way home in Kampung Terbak here from school last Tuesday.
Nuralia Shamimi Mohd Jefri, accompanied by her two schoolmates, was walking across a football field when a metal object, believed to be from a lawn mower, hit her face.
The Year Five pupil of SK Kampung Bandar Siong sustained serious injuries and suffered a broken nose.
"I was walking home from school with my two friends when I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my face.
"The next thing I knew, blood was dripping down my face and I felt like fainting.
"My friends panicked and rushed back to the school to inform the teachers."
She was rushed to Baling Hospital before being transferred to Sultan Abdul Halim (HSAH) Hospital in Sungai Petani for further treatment. Asked about the "flying object", she said she did not see it coming until it was too late.
However, she learnt from her friends that the blunt and hard object came from the direction of the school lawn mower, which was in use not far from her. Her mother, Mazlina Md Desa, 40, said she was preparing food at her stall nearby when she heard her daughter's cries for help.
"I rushed over and saw her crying in pain. I was shocked to see her face covered in blood.
"According to the doctor, her wound is 2cm deep and she fractured her skull in the accident.
"Nuralia will undergo a thorough checkup and treatment at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Star next month."

JOHOR BARU: A group of parang-wielding men stormed a police station in Labis, about 150km from here, and attacked a man who had earlier rescued a constable.
Policemen rushed to help the victim and arrested the five intruders in the 11am incident yesterday. They also seized four machetes.
Earlier, it is learnt, one of the suspects had stopped a car carrying the constable, his wife and two friends along the Labis-Segamat trunk road.
When the policeman got out of the car, one of them slashed him in the back. One of the policeman's friends quickly pulled him back into the car and they sped towards the Labis police station, several kilometres away.
The five suspects followed in another car and entered the police station where they started to attack the constable's friend.
Johor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Dr Hashim Haron said the victims, in their 40s, had been admitted to the Segamat Hospital to treat their slash wounds.
“The five suspects are aged between 30 and 40,” he said.
SAC Dr Hashim said the incident might have been due to an old grudge or personal problems between the constable and one of the suspects.
