Mid Valley Bag Cutter - Beware

This happened today just a few hours ago. at 3pm. Midvalley Megamall.
My mom went to Komugi Bakery to buy few buns. She came out with a plastic bag of buns. The "thieves" probably thought she left her wallet in the plastic bag with the buns because she wasn't carry any wallet or handbag ( I paid for the buns ). The was a deep pen knife cut at the bottom of the plastic bag, you could see and realize that it was done on purpose and it was a few penknife slashes. Please beware and becareful, Do not put any valuables in your paper bag or plastic bag because they will definitely walk away with it since today is a Sunday and it's super crowded in the basement.

Beware of you Handbags when Shopping

Another similar incident happened to my bf's mum yesterday afternoon.
We were walking at Jusco One Utama when she felt some small tugging at her bag. Aunty did not suspect anything and just hugged her bag to the front and continued grocery shopping.
We only realized the bag was slit opened when we reached home, but thankfully, the thief's attempt failed and nothing valuable is missing.
Ladies, please beware and stay alert of your belongings.

Hi, would like to share the similar incident happened per Michelle's sharing. It was happened this morning at OUG wet market which is at road side. My Aunty was carrying a recycle bag with her valuable belongings in there. As she thought this might be safer compared to a handbag (recycle bag used to carry vege/ meat etc..). Suddently she has uncomfortable feeling while standing infront of a store and immediately she look at her recycle bag. It was slit openned, but luckily all the valuable belongings still there and she was not been hurt. At that time, there were 2 young Indian gals around 20++ yrs old stand at the side of her recycle bag, we suspect they are well trained under a group. Pls be more alert during CNY shopping, seems we were been targeted during our shopping time. Txz.
