Smash & Grab in front of Publika...Again

Dear all, thank you for your concern, calls and messages last night. For those who don’t already know, I fell victim to an attempted snatch theft yesterday evening which happened at the 4-way traffic light just outside of Publika (heading towards Jalan Duta). I was initially pretty shaken, but eventually made it home in one piece with just some small cuts on my hands & legs.

At about 6:20pm, two Malay males on a bike stopped right next to the passenger side of my car. My heart sank when I saw them looking in because I knew just what was about to happen. In a split second, they smashed my car window but thankfully, I managed to grab my bag & turn my body away just in time to avoid the glass from getting into my eyes. When I looked back, the bike had sped off and they had failed to steal anything from me.

The reason why I decided to write this is because I wanted people to know that of late, this area has been notorious in cases like mine. I say this because 2 of my girlfriends have also had their windows smashed on this very same road, so please get your windows security-tinted & be extra vigilant when you're in the Mont Kiara/ Solaris/ Hartamas/ Publika area. I was unlucky that I let my guard down yday but was fortunate enough to have escaped unharmed. Bottom line is, this could happen to anyone & no one can ever be too safe these days so stay alert & take care.
