Hi all, just heard from a friend that there is a new tactic of daylight robbery that targets senior citizens or people living alone who are at home during the day. Apparently his nei
ghborhood
in Bangsar received a circular saying that robbers are dressed as
postmen and go to houses and say that they are delivering a registered
post and they have to come out to sign for it. When the person goes out,
the "postman" produces a parang and then proceeds to rob them. If this
is true, then the safest thing to do when you receive a visit from a
postman who is delivering registered mail to you is to tell them that
you will go and collect it at the post office yourself and not entertain
them any further. This sucks for the legitimate postal deliveries but
better to be safe than sorry.
