No Money No Boarding - Bribery Case

shared by Winnie.S

2 mths ago, an AirAsia employee (at Yangon International Airport) denied boarding to my bro inlaw & sis inlaw because the guy requested to see if they had USD500 on hand per person. They only issued the boarding pass for my parent inlaws (even when they didn't have 500USD on hand). Because of that, my bro inlaw & sis inlaw missed the flight, and we had to repurchase a new flight ticket for later that evening (9 hours later). However, upon checking-in a different AA employee at the boarding counter did not ask to see any money. Neither did immigration in either country.

A lot of locals are telling us that if they bribe the AA employee they would have gotten the boarding pass. (Corruption in the country is everywhere, but I did not expect to hear this about AA employees) Malaysian Embassy has given them the appropriate visa to travel.

So, should AA take responsibility of their employee's actions??
