A MAN, high on drugs, threw his baby daughter into a washing machine after a tiff with his wife, Nanyang Siang Pau reported.
The 28-year-old man would vent his anger on his 24-year-old wife, known
as Khaw, and their daughters, aged two and seven months.
In last week's incident, Khaw, a clinic assistant, was beaten up when she arrived home at about 10pm with her daughters.
Several hours earlier, the baby's cries irked the man, forcing Khaw to take her daughters to a babysitter's house nearby.
The man followed them and even tried to strangle the baby in front of the babysitter.
When Khaw brought back her children, her husband, who had also returned home, tried to strangle the baby again.
He also threatened to kill all three of them. Frustrated, he then
chucked the baby into the washing machine. Fortunately, it was not
switched on.
The man's father rushed to the scene and managed to overpower him.
Khaw lodged a report at the Kuala Langat police station, accompanied by her brother. Her husband was then arrested.
