BESUT: A 60-year-old woman was robbed of jewellery worth more than RM10,000 at her house yesterday.
The victim who was alone at home, suffered bruises on her hands and neck when she put up a struggle in the 9.30am incident.
Acting District police chief Deputy Superintendent Noor Zainy Mohd Noor said one of the two suspects ransacked the house while the other grabbed her and tried to strangle her neck when she refused to hand over valuables that she was wearing.
Noor Zainy said the suspects, who were unarmed, did not wear any mask.
"The robbers then threatened the victim not to make any noise as they escaped the house," he said, adding that the victim lodged a report at the Kampung Raja police station soon after.
"We are looking for the suspects in their 20's to assist the investigation under Section 395 of the Penal Code for gang robbery," Noor Zainy said.
